I’m a bilingual Journalism student and future Journalist. I have written, worked in, and been published in both Spanish and English. Although I have focused on the world of sports, I also have significant experience working in the world of news and am beyond capable in both beats.
At MSNBC, I have worked as part of the production team for José Díaz-Balart Reports, helping produce hundreds of segments that required meticulous planning, collaboration, and creativity. My responsibilities have included writing, producing and conducting in-depth research for breaking storiesI’ve ensured that scripts, graphics, and other essential elements were prepared for air using tools like iNews, which allowed me to seamlessly contribute to high-quality programming. These experiences sharpened my ability to handle tight deadlines, prioritize competing demands, and thrive under pressure.
At Telemundo 51 in Miami I expanded my experience into the world of local television production. I had the privilege of focusing on writing the daily newscast, contributing to over 100 shows over the course of my internship. I grew both as a writer, gaining valuable television news experience, and as a team member, working in a high stress and quick fire environment that required a high amount of trust.
I wrote for Venezuelan newspaper El Emergente about Major League Baseball throughout the Summer of 2020. There I learned basic and valuable skills in sports writing that I still have to this day, and it helped me hone the craft in Spanish.
At Fútbol de Primera I added broadcasting and producing skills to my repertoire. I worked with the production team for the broadcasting of the U-20 World Cup, the Gold Cup and the CONCACAF Nations League, focusing on research. I also furthered my video and audio editing skills, cutting video from the daily show to go on social media.
Through my work with the FOX Sports communications department, I have gotten to learn about the realities of working in PR and communications for a massive, well known brand. Through my work at the communications at FOX, I have gained experience writing press releases and working in media outreach at a corporate level.
